Meet Our Doctors
Steve Strubberg, DVM
Dr. Steve Strubberg grew up in Union, Missouri. He attended the University of Missouri-Columbia for both undergraduate and Veterinary School. He graduated Vet school in 1989 and immediately came to work for Dr. Leo Rohlfing at the Hermann Veterinary Clinic. Dr. Strubberg bought the clinic in 1990. His special interests are bovine reproduction and herd health. Dr. Strubberg was the 2008 President of the Missouri Veterinary Medical Association. He resides in Stony Hill where he raises beef cattle.
Kacie Ulhorn, DVM
Dr. Kacie Ulhorn grew up in Macon, Missouri. She attended college at Southwest Missouri State University, and graduated with a Bachelor of Science in Animal Science. She graduated in 2010 from the University of Missouri College of Veterinary Medicine. Dr. Kacie joined the Hermann Veterinary Clinic immediately after graduation. She enjoys the variety of a mixed animal practice and is happy to work with livestock and pets. In her free time, she enjoys hiking, canoeing, traveling, and spending time with family and friends. Dr. Kacie lives in Berger with her husband Tim, children Leland and Logyn, dogs Maggie and Oshie, and cat Fancy.
Daniel Tappmeyer, DVM
Dr. Dan Tappmeyer grew up in Warrenton, Missouri. As a child, he spent much of his time at the Warrenton & Wright City Veterinary Clinics with his father, Dr. Bill Tappmeyer. Dr. Dan worked as an assistant at the Warrenton & Wright City Veterinary Clinics during high school and then went on to earn his Doctorate of Veterinary Medicine from the University of Missouri in 2013. He joined the Hermann Veterinary Clinic immediately after graduation and splits his time between Hermann and Warrenton & Wright City Veterinary Clinics. He enjoys practicing both large and small animal medicine.
Dr. Dan and his wife Ashton have one child Josephine, and two cats Lily and Sophie. Dr. Dan enjoys working on his family's cattle farm, home improvement, and spending time with friends and family.
Justin nash, DVM
Dr. Justin Nash grew up in Warrenton, Missouri. He graduated from Truman State University with a Bachelor of Science in Agricultural Science. He then attended the University of Missouri, completing a Master of Science in Reproductive Physiology, followed by a Doctorate of Veterinary Medicine in 2016. After practicing out of state for the first year, he returned to join the staff of Hermann Veterinary Clinic. Dr. Justin enjoys true mixed animal practice, and is happy to see large and small animal patients. In his free time, he enjoys all outdoor activities, including jogging, hiking, fishing and camping, but also loves spending time with friends and family. He resides in Hermann with his dog Marley.
